Plates is a collection of glass plates made in Jingdezhen, China using the pâte de verre technique. Colored glass is broken into tiny fragments, arranged within plaster molds, and fired at high temperatures to create a sugary, translucent surface. Each plate depicts a different interpretation of the female genitalia, playing with ideas of youth, womanhood, and bodily autonomy.
